Auditioning for the Directing Program is biennial.

1. Candidates must be at least 19 years old as of December 31, 2010, and must fill out and mail in the application form, along with a certified cheque or money order for $60 by January 31, 2010, in order to be considered for the autumn session.

2. Once the application has been submitted, candidates are subsequently required to submit a portfolio that will include a letter of intention, a resume and a written treatment of a text from a list of plays supplied by the School. Details are communicated to candidates upon receipt of their application.

3. After consideration of these submissions, selected candidates are invited to attend an interview.

Two candidates are accepted for this two-year program. In general, successful applicants have some professional theatre experience prior to entering the program at NTS.

Note: The selection process for this program takes place every two years, in even-numbered years. Applications are now being accepted for the 2010-2011 school year.
